Hobby Clear-Out Notes & FAQ
Answers to typical questions about how I prep, store, and package miniatures from my personal workbench clear-out.
How do you clean and inspect the minis?
Every lot is inspected under a daylight hobby lamp. Mould lines are scraped down, sprue nubs trimmed flat, and joints checked for plastic weld integrity. If a part has ever been pinned or repaired, it is explicitly declared in the lot description.
Can I strip the painted minis safely?
Yes! Because all figures are genuine Citadel high-impact polystyrene, you can safely submerge them in 99% Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) or Biostrip 20. Do NOT use white spirit or acetone. A 12 to 24 hour soak followed by a soft toothbrush scrub will return them to clean grey plastic.
How does the flat £3.80 combined postage work?
Whether you order a lone hero or clear out the entire batch, you only pay a single flat £3.80 for Royal Mail Tracked 48. They are wrapped individually in bubble sleeves and packed in a rigid recycled bitz box so antennas don’t snap.
Do you have extra spare weapon bits?
Usually yes. If you need a specific Space Marine heavy weapon, power fist, or alternate head for a kitbash, send me a note right after ordering and I’ll rifle through my bitz drawers to throw it in your parcel for free if I have it on hand.
